Born and raised in the state of Maine, Derek now calls Oregon home and has lived in Ashland, Bend, Jackson Hole, Wyoming and now Ashland again (not too bad eh?) He attended Southern Oregon University and started working for river companies in the valley several years ago.
He is one of our extraordinary “road guides” as well as an excellent singer songwriter, though you might never know it (he’s quite humble) When not making sure we get to and from the river comfortably, Derek can’t be found but is usually playing music, rock hounding, and/or fly fishing.
He is excited to be returning for a second season with Momentum and we are even more so!
