Arden and Simon, You are welcome. I enjoyed the trip immensely and will consider making it part of every venture back to southern Oregon. I still have my doubts whether the cat we surprised in the road just out of the take-out was a bobcat. Is our driver really confident in his identification?

Arden We all had a great time. This was my first white water rafting trip and i felt like you where totally in control the entire time. the whole experience from when you picked us up from the nearby lake till you dropped us off was all positive,cosiderate,and appropriatly jestfull. And, your services made it clear that I will always seek to book through Momentum rather than any competitor. In fact, when my nephews and I were discussing the probability of making it a yearly event, they insisted that we try to use the same company! Dear Alan and Mike, Of course - it was wonderful! Amelia and Gavriella BOTH begin college this week, and I together with my wife (Lisa) embark upon empty-nesthood. Thanks....You folks did a great job. A big part of what makes an experience a great time is dependent on the employees, from the drivers to the guides. I am sure it is not easy to day after day deal with groups of tourist and to still keep and up-beat attitude and make it a fun experience. All the employees did just that. From the time of pick up to the time we were dropped off, (including the pit stop), it was all very well done. If I owned a rafting company I would hire all of them in a second. I originally tried to get the half day trip, but thankfully it was full. One of the best times I have ever had. I don't usually take the time to post stuff on Yelp etc. but will in this instance. Erik... We had a awesome day with you. The group dynamic was out of this world! While Steph was crashed out in the back, I retraced our eventful day with my wife telling her all about the new friends we met. I think we talked her into coming out on our next trip. Ha, Steph has the means and I wouldn't be surprised if she books a trip to Chile. She's quite adventurous... Whether she invites this old fart is another thing completely. I'm pretty luck to still be part of her life and occasionally she tosses me a bone to chew on...:] Looking at your brochure with a man with a flyrod at hand... boy, that sold me. I want to go too! Once the steelhead season gets going on the Rouge, let me know if you guys ever need to fill a seat to round things out and perhaps on a last minute spontaneous moment I can be up there to make it a win-win situation for all. I like the idea of staying at lodge to lodge. But the catching has to be good! :} It was a pleasure meeting you... the boat had alot of good karma and good juju... it was fantastic! Dear Alan Much appreciation to you Alan for that day on the water the impeccable guide service and to the mighty Klammath. My son Ian was in a total funk, having just two days earlier driven up from L.A. to meet up with old Dad for his birthday. He put out a lot of effort getting up here and as a result was tired and P.O.'d just from fatigue having never driven that kind of distance before. He hadn't smiled the whole time he was here until the first rapid on our trip down the river. From then on I was covertly checking out his expression and he was filled with joy the entire rest of the trip! After that day on the water he and all of us who went were buoyant energized and full of fun. You have helped a young soul to find a horizon and joyous coming home to the natural world and the great out there. from the moment we were picked up to being returned to our car Alan and the crew made us feel really welcome, my wife & I had a fantastic day on the upper klamath river, excellent white water, wildlife and they fed us a lovely breakfast while unloading the boats, a superb lunch and a snack while they loaded the boats for our return to Ashland, thanks again for a superb trip.

Thank you for taking such good care of our group on Wednesday. I hear the trip was a great success and a good time was had by all even with the less than optimal weather. Your care, skill and customer service did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated, I only wish I could have been there to enjoy it! Thank you again and have a great season.

I just wanted to express how much we enjoyed our trip with Momentum River Expeditions. It was an amazing day, and completely exceeded our expectations in every area. From the moment we entered the van in the morning, we felt welcomed by the whole Momentum crew. You were all so friendly, relaxed and professional we knew we had a great day ahead. From the delicious, beautifully prepared food -- to the nature and history explanations along the way, I can't imagine a better crew. You all made us feel at ease with your humor, but thankfully confident with your detailed instructions and vast knowledge of the river. Jason, thank you too for bringing our boat together, and making us feel like a team. We all had so much fun, and really bonded with our wonderful other rafters. I know this was due to your great guiding style. Our rafting trip was by far the best part of our weekend trip for all of us. You now have three new fans, and we can't wait for our next river expedition. I hope to come up to visit my mom in Grants Pass this spring with my family. If at all possible, a trip with Momentum will definitely be part of it. I can't thank you enough for giving us a such an incredible experience that will be part of my memories and heart for a long time to come.

MRE Gang-- Thanks for a great time! Here's a review I just posted on Yelp and TripAdvisor along with 5 star rating; I just returned from a fantastic 2 day trip run by MRE on the Upper Klamath near Ashland. They picked us up at our hotel. Guides were great-- cheerful, hard-working, knowledgeable, experienced. They did all the heavy-lifting, food prep, etc. Rapids were thrilling, food was great, pace was just right. A two-day vacation felt like four days. Last year I went with MRE on a three day rafting trip on the Lower Klamath. It was superb and included a fantastic side-trip hike up a stream to some hidden falls. They're a great company! Dan Kalb

Three of us took the Upper Klamath trip in mid-August and had a blast! Momentum staff were very accommodating in terms of fun, fuel (super breakfast and lunch) and fables (between rapids there was time to share stories)! Definitely will do this again. Thanks.

Had a family get together decided to Run the upper Klamath for a good time and we had a blast toke the kids as well they had a great time also. Great guides and good healthy food on the run. We had rafted the Upper Klamath 15 yrs ago with another company. We wanted to give the experience to our grandsons, ages 13 & 15. We explained our concern about the younger boy's Autism, with Erik as our guide we quickly saw we had no worries. He is outstanding! He not only kept us safe, his knowledge of the history, wildlife and geology of the area was impressive. Everyone on the staff was friendly & courteous. The food was great. We hope to do it again!

Dear Pete, First of all I have to say that the trip we went on was the absolute best guided trip I have ever been on! Every aspect of the situation was perfect and we (and i have talked to every person on the trip) could not agree more about how amazing it truly was. Aside from the stunning beauty of the State of Jefferson (which Erik and Adam so informatively explained was where we were), the organization of the trip and the guides were absolutely perfect. We could not have asked for better people than Erik, Adam and Neil. They were friendly, knowledgeable, AMAZING chefs, nice guys, and truly handled themselves professionally. Even though the rivers weren't exactly co-operating with us, we had the most amazing time. Having done some minor guiding (and I mean Class II-III simple canoe trips on the Potomac river, so not close to the stuff you guys do) I can tell you that the way Erik handled the decision to abort the Scott was completely professional. I can say with confidence that if your guides were jerks or not as friendly and cool as the ones we had, that decision could have easily made the group upset. But, we trusted them and I am sure it was the right choice. Even though we all know we could've done it no problems!!! Just kidding... :) I am not an elegant writer, but if I were, I would put into more beautiful words how much I enjoyed this trip. Personally it was exactly what I needed during a difficult time in my life. I came to Oregon with many heavy thoughts on my mind and left with a feeling of peace and understanding. I know that the mountains, rivers and nature's beauty have always worked wonders for me, but I do not think it would've gone so well if I hadn't had such a worry free experience thanks to you all. I truly hope that I will be able to join another trip with you guys on some of the amazing rivers you frequent. And, I will surely be requesting Erik, Adam and Neil again if it comes together another time. Also, I want to be sure that you received all the money you needed to. I checked my bank statement and I think I only saw one charge on there for me? Please let me know if I owe some more. I think this helps prove how satisfied I am with that trip. How many people would write asking to pay more money after the fact??? Anyways, again, the food, the experience, the people, the place... everything was great. I truly appreciate you all being flexible with the situation, from rivers floods to people backing out. Please extend my deepest gratitude to the guides again for such and awesome trip. We just returned from a 2-day rafting/camping trip with Momentum. Two fathers, two twelve-yr-old boys. We were a bit nervous about having our athletic but small boys do Class 4 rapids, but Anthony, Heather, and Derek did an absolutely awesome job. Everyone had a great time and no one went swimming at an inappropriate time. We highly recommend this outfit and Anthony as a guide.

Besides the remote & spectacular location & fantastic whitewater, to have the good fortune to enjoy you and Derek on my Birthday trip was beyond compare! We've come to appreciate your usual attention to EVERY TINY detail but for this trip, you were over the top! Among "BEST Birthdays" EVER, you shared so generously of your time, talent while keeping us IN the boat, never even needing to call a left or right turn you are so skilled! But the safety overall and the obvious caring you take to assure each guest has that "once in a lifetime to remember" experience is what sets Momentum over the top. You beat me to the email where I wanted to tell you personally "thank you" for being so generous and giving of your time and talent..know you have choices but you made the trip so special, so memorable..one of the best birthdays EVER, never to be forgotten & there you were, right smack dab in the middle of it. Today with Alan & Anthony, just as great (but for too short a time)..gals loved it, understand why we rave so about you guys & just generally how really special a person you are. Hello Pete, Hope this finds you well and busy with clients on the rivers. We had a wonderful two-day trip on the Upper Klamath; you have a tremendous staff in Alex, Rachel, and Derrick! They were wonderful; what a great team! Alex guided our raft and we appreciated his sharing the local history of the region. The girls, two 16 year olds, enjoyed the Captain Jack story and were even recalling points of the Sat evening discussion revolving around the rivers, dams, fishing industry, Indian rights etc. We all decided that we would have liked for Alex to be our 6th grade teacher. We appreciate his teaching passion; don't stop. Alex will be talked about in future camps as "an influential teacher" (this is a good thing). We also enjoyed Rachel's company, her world-wide travel experiences are tremendous and she's great fun. What can we say about Derrick, the back-bone of the trip. We were never hungry, my goodness the snacks and meals were fantastic. Also, a very interesting and charming person. And a wonderful van driver! We greatly appreciated the maturity of your staff; they were professional, they were fun, they were engaging and interesting. We had a fantastic two days on the river. We have and will continue to recommend your company and staff to family and friends considering an "adrenaline" filled vacation. Thank you so much. Hi Pete, I know we haven’t meet, but I wanted to take a moment to complement you on your company and crew. I took a quick trip down the Upper Klamath last Friday, July 3rd. I checked out your website which was definitely one of the best outfitter sites I’ve ever seen. I haven’t been out on the water as much as I’d like and jumped at the chance to do so. Needless to say I was not disappointed. Eric was my guide for the day and as I’m sure you know his service is second to none. While I can’t speak for the rest of the people that day, I can say that he made the experience that much more enjoyable. His knowledge of the area and his craft was nothing short of amazing. While I was with Eric most of the day, Adam, Jon E, and Derek where also equally as awesome; I had the opportunity to pick all of their brains at one point or another during the day. I grew up on the rivers of Montana and used the opportunity with your world class crew to sharpen my knowledge on the rivers of Oregon. Don’t worry…I wont be starting an outfitting business anytime soon, I know I wouldn’t be able to compete with the business you’ve started and fostered into a truly great business that has a solid future no matter the economic outlook. I never went whitewater rafting before and now, thanks to you guys, I am hooked and can hardly wait to go again. Trouble is, I wouldn't want to go without you! ...But What an Awakening! I'd forgotten how much I love the water and, specifically, how much fun I have when rocketing through it! Could hardly stop grinning. To top it off, I was surrounded by an environment for which I got a history lesson and a deeper sense of awe and appreciation. Loved my time with you, especially Adam, whose raft I felt lucky to be on. (This guy's a pro...wonderful!) I highly recommend having a day exactly like mine was when we were there with you.

I was one of the 11+ people on the Austin Adventure 2008 and had a wonderful time. The guides were so kind, friendly, experienced and also great cooks, that I let any anxiety go right away. Momentum Rafting doesn't do themselves justice. We were extremely pleasantly surprised with the great food, the small groups, the knowledge shared, and the amazing river!! SO much less commercial than our last trip and so much more time on the river. And all at a really great price given all the extras.

Your guides, Alex and Adam, are SUPERB! Both Alex and Adam are at the top of their game. They are very knowledgeable in their field, and it was very comforting, especially for newcomers. I wish to point out that it is the "little things" that often go unnoticed in a trip transaction, but Momentum River Expeditions takes it to a higher level for their customers---which my husband and I very much noticed and appreciated. From the "booking folks" to the drivers and especially your two very special guides--everyone was very kind and you could tell they were just "darn nice to the core" people. I was a nervous at first on the raft, but that only lasted a few seconds thanks to your guides. The guides taught us the necessary skills to have a fun and successful rafting tour. They were very informative about the local history too---which by the way was very interesting and impressive to hear about. Everyone on both rafts was "tuned in" and enjoying the history lessons. Really! The entire team knew exactly how to run the tour and the coordination was outstanding. Your crew are people friendly, nice and patient! Additionally, we loved the breakfast and lunch food selections. We hope to take another Momentum River Expeditions tour in the future! Please do let ALL your crew know how much we appreciated them!

Our family rafted with Alex and Anthony. It was a great day for our family of two parents and five kids, ages 15-23. Alex and Anthony were great in guiding us and giving us interesting information. We enjoyed our day and would recommend the trip to any family.

It was just the right amount of time for a river rafting trip to last. The lunch was delicious, with lots of fresh fruit! The guides were fun and made us feel safe and like he actually needed us to paddle. It was such a fun trip! I would definitely go again.

I am holding Momentum Rafting completely responsible for turning my entire family in to a bunch of....White Water Junkies!!!! There are very few times when all of us, with 3 teenagers, are all on the same page and 100% happy and present in an activity. This was one of those times. When our guide Robyn told our 3 kids to sit in the front of the raft and to simply enjoy a fun rapid that was coming up, and then proceeded to plow the raft in to a giant standing wave that completely drenched everyone on board, was one of the great highlights of our trip. The squeals and screams were priceless. All of the guides and the fabulous support crew worked extra hard to christen a new camp site and to make sure that everyone was well taken care of. The food was wonderful and the stories were entertaining. We are already scouting for our next river to conquer!! Thanks Pete!!

As a first timer, you and Adam were awesome guides and I felt completely comfortable with you two at the helm.Thank you for your direction and fun personalties!! That was a big part in making my experience even more exhilerating that I thought it would be. I cannot wait to do the Cal Salmon with you in the Spring and hope to bring several friends. And, I maybe back on the Upper Klamath run before the summer is out. Wooo Hooooo!

It was a great trip. Food was excellent. Guides worked extremely hard in great spirits; the business has good equipment; the Aussie did a thorough job of training and laying out expectations before embarking and Alex, our personal guide was a veritable encyclopedia of flora, fauna and area history - plus a really weird sense of humor (just kidding). And last but not least, this trip probably has the biggest and most concentrated sets of waves in summertime Oregon rafting.

Just wanted to send our kudos and thanks to Alex, Rachel, and the folks at Momentum River Expeditions for an outstanding trip down the Klamath yesterday. Our guides were personable, proficient, and enthusiastic about their jobs. We knew we were in safe hands and loved being part of the crew. A wild ride in the rapids,quiet interludes and peeks at wildlife (even some pelicans!) delicious and healthy food, and entertaining stories - what more could you ask from a day on the beautiful Klamath?! We will definitely join you again.

Pete and Rachel, YOU ROCK as the river rocked, swirled flowed and gave us the greatest joy and laughter all the way down the Upper Klamath. I decided to go with Momentum having never heard of them so really it was on a whim and truthfully now that I have rafted with Pete I feel there is no where else to go. I felt safe because he was so very present with us and taught us the details of safety and truthfully we needed it because WOW the upper Klamath is a wild one with the greatest rapid runs and whitewater I have yet experienced before. I have rafted in many places but this was truly the best! I know, I know Pete.. Chile is next! Oh and let me not forget the great "Organic" food that Pete and Rachel supplied and prepared for us. Momentum is one of a kind that I highly recommend for your rafting pleasures!

It was the highlight of our weekend. We would definitely do the trip again and will send word to friends. Thanks for a great day.

Pete: I wanted to thank your company and most importantly your guide, Anthony for a rollicking good time last weekend. My older son, Marty Young scheduled floats on both the upper and lower Klamath rivers, 6/21 & 22. It was in celebration of my 60th birthday. I am doing many different things to celebrate this event and the trips on the river were certainly a highlight. I am still high from the adventure. Kudos to Anthony for his navigational abilities and more importantly his leadership. He has a steady, assured manner that is both supportive, humorous and knowledgeable. I especially like the way that he handled my initial fear when scouting one of the rapids on the lower Klamath. He got me through with confidence and was certainly right in telling me that I “would regret it” if I didn’t take the waves. Following closely behind like a duckling, made it easy. Thanks again. We just wanted to thank you and your staff for a wonderful trip. This was our first rafting experience and we are definitely hooked. We will be back next year. This trip was an introduction to White water rafting for both my pre-teen kids and my 65 year old mother-in-law. I feel like I took them to the Louvre on their first visit to an art museum. If only I had a nickel for every time my 9 year old son turned to me after being swallowed up and spit out by a wall of water and said "that was AWESOME!".
